What we Find Endearing: Parlee

Richard Parlee (lead singer & guitarist), Jason Win (bassist), and Wesley Schroeder (drummer) make up the band fans are describing as "Unique, new, and unexpected." An easier, cooler sounding way to remember them: Parlee. A name that will undoubtedly echo across the U.S. (and quite possibly the world) for years to come as they are discovered by future fans.
Saturday the band made their way to West Hollywood, where they wowed other bands and music lovers during the Key Club's Next Big Thing Battle of the Bands. Richard Parlee's "Chocolate", "See You in the Rain", "Imaginary Friend", and "Stranger" only gave a taste of what the band can do. But it seemed as though that was just enough to hook the crowd. "I was completely surprised," recalled Sebastien Christiansen, long time friend and fan of Richard Parlee, "They said they had a surprise in one of the songs, but I was not expecting Jason to rap in the middle of it. And the last song.. it was completely different from how Richard normally sounds."
With much to expect from such unexpected rising stars, we'll all wait in anticipation for more shows, more music, and more Parlee.
